Terms and Conditions

1. About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and OXCRED (Pty) Ltd (“OXCRED”, “we”, “us”) for playing Goldforge: Block Puzzle (“Goldforge” or “the game”). By downloading, installing or playing Goldforge, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t play.

• Who we are: OXCRED (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa. You can reach us at support@oxcred.co.za.
• The game: Goldforge is a block puzzle game for Android, downloaded from Google Play. Google Play’s own terms also apply to downloads and payments made through it.
• Your privacy: our Privacy Policy explains what information the game collects and how we use it. It forms part of these terms.

2. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to play Goldforge.

• If you’re under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission to play and to buy anything. Your parent or guardian is responsible for purchases made on your account.
• You need a compatible Android device and a Google Play account. Ads, purchases and some features need an internet connection.
• Your progress is saved on your device. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data can delete your progress, coins and items, and we may not be able to restore them.

3. Coins, boosters and other virtual items

Coins, boosters (such as the Hammer, Fire Orb and Phoenix Flame), treasures and other in-game items are for use in Goldforge only. They have no real-world value.

• A licence, not property: when you earn or buy an item, you get a personal, limited right to use it in the game. You don’t own it, and you can’t sell, trade, transfer or cash it out.
• Earning and buying: you can earn coins by playing, from daily rewards and by watching optional reward videos. You can also buy coin packs.
• Payments: Google Play processes all purchases and shows the price in your local currency, including any taxes it applies. We never see your card or bank details.
• Purchases are final once the items are delivered, except where the law or the Google Play refund policy says otherwise. If something you paid for didn’t arrive, contact us at support@oxcred.co.za with your Google Play order number.
• Balance changes: we may change prices, rewards and what items do, to keep the game fair and fun. We won’t remove coins you bought, except for fraud, a refund or chargeback, or a breach of these terms.
• If the game closes: unused coins and items end with it. We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice in the game where we can.

4. VIP subscription

VIP is an optional subscription that renews automatically until you cancel it.

Google Play shows the price in your local currency before you buy. The price at checkout is the one you pay.

• What VIP includes: no banner or full-screen ads; the daily bonus doubled (+4 coins instead of +2); 10 free piece turns a day; and the three daily coin rewards without watching videos. We may add benefits. If we reduce them in a big way, we’ll tell you in the game first, and you can cancel.
• Renewal: Google Play charges you at the start of each new period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Cancelling: cancel any time in Google Play (Play Store, then your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions). Uninstalling the game does not cancel VIP. How to cancel on Google Play.
• After cancelling: VIP stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. You’re not charged again.
• Refunds: Google Play handles refunds under its refund policy, alongside any rights the law gives you.
• Price changes: if the price changes, Google Play tells you in advance and, where required, asks you to agree before you’re charged the new price.

5. Ads

Goldforge is free to play, and ads help pay for it. Google AdMob provides the ads.

• For free players: a small banner on the play screens, a full-screen ad now and then between games, and optional reward videos you can choose to watch for coins or another try.
• Rewards: you get a reward only when the video plays to the end. Reward videos depend on the ad network and may not always be available.
• Advertisers: ads come from other companies. We don’t control their products, websites or offers, and we’re not responsible for them.
• VIP players see no banner or full-screen ads, and get their daily rewards without videos.
• Your data: our Privacy Policy explains how ads use information from your device and how to change your ad choices.

6. Fair play

Play Goldforge as it’s meant to be played. You agree not to:

• use cheats, hacks, mods, bots or any software that automates play or changes how the game works;
• exploit bugs, or change your device’s clock or the game’s saved data, to get coins, rewards or scores;
• fake purchases or ad views, or reverse a purchase you’ve used;
• copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the game, except where the law allows it;
• harm the game, its servers or other players, or use offensive names or content in any part of the game where players can see them (such as leaderboards).

If you break these rules, we may remove coins, items or scores gained that way, reset your progress, remove you from leaderboards, or block your access to the game. If you find a bug, please tell us at support@oxcred.co.za.

7. Our content and your licence to play

Goldforge and everything in it belong to OXCRED or the people who license it to us. That includes the code, art, characters (such as Ember, Rory, Ada and Pinch), story, music, sounds, names and logos.

• Your licence: we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to download and play Goldforge for your own non-commercial use, on devices you own or control. It lasts until you or we end it under these terms.
• What you can’t do: copy, sell, rent, share or distribute the game or its content, or make your own versions of it.
• Sharing is welcome: you can share screenshots and videos of your play, and make fan art, as long as it isn’t for profit and doesn’t suggest that we endorse it.
• Feedback: if you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely, without paying you.
• Others’ work: some fonts and sounds in the game are used under their own free licences (such as the SIL Open Font License and CC0).

8. Changes, availability and ending

We keep improving Goldforge, so the game and these terms will change over time.

• Game updates: we may add, change or remove levels, features, items and rewards. Some updates may be needed to keep playing.
• Availability: the game or its online features may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance. We don’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.
• Changes to these terms: we’ll update the date at the top. For important changes, we’ll tell you in the game before they take effect. If you keep playing after that, you accept the new terms.
• Ending by you: you can stop playing and uninstall the game at any time. If you have VIP, cancel it in Google Play as well (see section 4).
• Ending by us: we may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. We may also close the game, with at least 30 days’ notice in the game where we can.

9. Disclaimers and limits of liability

We work hard to make Goldforge fun and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, to the extent the law allows.

• Limits: to the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost progress caused by your device, its storage or a third-party service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the game in the 12 months before the claim.
• Your rights stay: nothing in these terms limits rights that the law gives you and that can’t be excluded, including your rights under South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, or our liability for gross negligence or deliberate wrongdoing.
• Play safely: take regular breaks. The game has flashing and moving effects; if you have ever had seizures or epilepsy, ask a doctor before playing, and stop at once if you feel unwell. You can turn on reduced motion in your device settings.

10. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

• Disputes: please contact us first, so we can try to sort it out. If we can’t, the courts of South Africa will decide. If you live in another country, you keep any consumer protections its laws give you.
• If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
